Komodo runs out of Labuan Bajo on five and six-night trips, and the schedule is dive-led. The published five-night route works Sebayur and Mini Wall on the check-dive day, then Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Shotgun and a Lighthouse night dive off Gili Lawa, Tatawa Kecil, Batu Bolong and Manta Point in the centre, Three Sisters, Secret Garden and Pink Beach around Padar, with the sunrise Padar trek and the Komodo Island ranger walk fitted between dives.
Raja Ampat sails from Sorong and comes in three lengths. The six-night central route covers Manta Sandy, Arborek Jetty, Cape Kri, Blue Magic, Sardine Reef, Mike Point and Piaynemo. The seven-night Wayag route pushes north to Black Rock, Batu Wayag and the Wofoh sites with treks at Piaynemo and Wayag, and the nine-night north and south run adds Misool at the start. Expect four dives a day and long overnight passages.
Misool is sold as its own seven-night trip from Sorong rather than as an add-on. Candy Store, Andiamo, Juliatte, Shadow Reef, Tank Rock and Gorgonian Passage are on the published route, with a night dive at Romeo, the Love Lagoon trek and a snorkel in the jellyfish lake. The return leg swings through Penemu and Melissa Garden before Sorong.
The Banda run is eight days from Ambon. Suanggi Island for the first full day, then Manuk Island, the sea-snake island, for four dives including a night dive, Karang Hatta and Hatta Island, and the Banda Neira sites: Batu Kapal, Pohon Miring, Lava Flow, Karnopol and Batu Belanda, with a land tour to Fort Belgica. The trip finishes with muck diving at Laha in Ambon Bay.
Alor is a five-night trip starting at Mali airport, and it is the muck and macro end of the programme. Crucifixion Point, Current Alley, Babylon and a Mandarin Slope night dive on the first full day, Munaseli Point for hammerheads on the second, then Biangabang, Hot Rock, Anemone Fields or Cathedral, and Clown Valley at Apuri to finish. A dugong stop at Mawar is scheduled before boarding.
Ambon is the departure port for the Banda Sea legs, and what you dive in the bay is muck rather than reef. Silt and sponge, taken shallow. A dive guide is included in the fare with up to three dives a day, which suits ground where the value is in repetition rather than any single site.
Sumbawa sits on the western passages out of Labuan Bajo, usually on the longer bookings. The crater lake at Satonda, the volcanic reefs off Sangeang and the bays of Moyo break up the crossing. With one Superior cabin sleeping four and another sleeping three, groups travelling together share rooms on this stretch instead of paying double occupancy twice over.
Suits: divers who want volume and remote itineraries without a premium fare. Up to three dives a day come inside the price with tanks, weights and a guide, and the published routes run five to nine nights across Komodo, Alor, Banda, Misool and Raja Ampat rather than weekend hops. Eighteen crew for seventeen guests keeps the turnaround between dives quick.
Also works for: groups of friends and families on a budget. The two Superior cabins take three and four people at the same per-person rate as each other, which is the cheapest way onto a boat of this size and rare on a per-cabin sale.
Less suited to: couples wanting a private, quiet boat. Seventeen guests in seven cabins is a full ship, the entry cabins are shared rooms rather than doubles, and there is no published master suite with a balcony. Non-divers are also thinly catered for: the itineraries are built dive by dive, with snorkelling offered as the alternative rather than a programme of its own.
Nayara is a 45-metre phinisi launched in October 2022 and refitted the following year, and the number that says most about her is the crew list: eighteen crew for seventeen guests. She is 38 metres on deck with a 9.3-metre beam, which is wide for the length and buys the deck space the layout depends on. Two Bauer compressors, a watermaker turning out 5,000 litres a day against 15,000 litres of storage and 11,000 litres of fuel mean she can stay out in places without a jetty.
The seven cabins are graded rather than uniform, and the bottom of the grade is where she differs from most boats her size. There is one Suite and one Signature cabin, three Deluxe cabins for two, and two Superior cabins that take three and four people respectively. That four-berth room is unusual on a boat sold per person: friends and families travelling together split a cabin instead of paying the double-occupancy premium, which is why the entry fare lands where it does.
Nayara is equipped for serious diving, with two Bauer compressors and two 80 hp dinghies for separate group drops. Some scheduled dive programmes have offered up to three dives a day, but the current Komodo charter inclusions publish snorkeling rather than diving, so dive schedules, guide ratios and equipment must be confirmed for the selected departure. The navigation and safety fit-out is heavier than the category usually carries: Furuno radar and Navtex, AIS, GPS, echo sounder, anemometer, VHF and SSB, a satellite phone, two inflatable life rafts rated for fifty people between them, emergency oxygen and forty life jackets.
She sells both ways and prices by region. The current Komodo booking channel lists scheduled 3D2N departures and private charters from USD 7,300 per night, with 2D1N through 4D3N durations available. Published prices are subject to 11% tax. Marine park fees, alcohol, insurance and gratuities sit outside the fare; dive inclusions and equipment rental should be confirmed for the selected departure.
The top grade on board and the only one of its kind, sold for two. It carries the highest per-person rate in every region the boat works, USD 575 a night in Komodo, Sumbawa and Alor and USD 625 in Banda, Raja Ampat and Misool. Air conditioning and a private bathroom with hot water, as in every cabin. Sleeps two.
The second grade, again a single room for two, priced USD 50 a night below the Suite: USD 525 per person in the western regions and USD 575 in the east. En-suite bathroom with hot water and individual air conditioning. Sleeps two.
One of three Deluxe cabins, the grade that carries most of the boat. Sold for two at USD 475 per person per night in Komodo, Sumbawa and Alor, USD 525 in Banda, Raja Ampat and Misool. En-suite bathroom with hot water and air conditioning. Sleeps two.
The entry grade, and a genuinely three-berth room rather than a double with a camp bed. At USD 375 per person per night in the west and USD 425 in the east it is the cheapest way onto the boat, which makes it the room for friends travelling together or a parent with two children. En-suite bathroom with hot water and air conditioning. Sleeps three.
The largest-capacity room on board and the reason the boat can carry seventeen guests in seven cabins. Four berths at the same entry rate as the three-berth Superior, USD 375 per person per night in Komodo, Sumbawa and Alor and USD 425 in Banda, Raja Ampat and Misool. En-suite bathroom with hot water and air conditioning. Sleeps four.
Nayara is sold as scheduled 3D2N shared departures and private charter. The published Komodo base rates are USD 375 Superior, USD 475 Deluxe, USD 525 Signature and USD 575 Suite per person per night, plus 11% tax. For the two-night shared trip, the tax-inclusive totals used here are USD 835, USD 1,055, USD 1,165 and USD 1,275 respectively. Private charter starts at USD 7,300 per night plus 11% tax; the active booking channel offers 2D1N, so the minimum tax-inclusive charter total shown is USD 8,105.
Published Komodo Luxury inclusions: accommodation, meals, mineral water, coffee and tea, guide, snorkeling equipment, life vest, raw drone/GoPro/mirrorless documentation, and mainland Labuan Bajo transfers. Confirm diving inclusions for the selected departure in writing.
Excluded: Komodo National Park fees, flights, personal expenses and snacks, alcoholic and other separately charged drinks, gratuities, personal toiletries, and optional drone permits.
Current payment terms require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due 30 days before departure; bookings inside 30 days are payable in full.

Yes. Nayara sells cabins on scheduled trips and the whole vessel on private charter. Cabin rates run USD 375 to USD 575 per person per night in Komodo, Sumbawa and Alor, and USD 425 to USD 625 in Banda, Raja Ampat and Misool, depending on the grade.
It depends on the grade. The Suite, Signature and three Deluxe cabins take two each. One Superior cabin takes three and the other takes four, which is how the boat reaches seventeen guests across only seven rooms.
Up to three, with tanks, weight belt and a dive guide inside the fare. Dive equipment rental is charged separately. The published Komodo and Raja Ampat itineraries add night dives on most days.
Marine park entrance fees, alcoholic drinks, dive equipment rental, dive and travel insurance, and crew gratuities. Airport or hotel transfers at the departure port, full board with non-alcoholic drinks and the diving itself are included.
Three nights for Komodo, Sumbawa and Alor at USD 7,300 per night, and five nights for Banda, Raja Ampat and Misool at USD 8,300 per night, for up to seventeen guests.
Cancelling 90 days or more before departure returns 40 per cent of what you have paid, and there is no refund from 89 days onward. If the boat cannot sail because of weather, force majeure or government restrictions, you can reschedule or take a 70 per cent refund.
She moves between four regions rather than staying in one. The published season ran Raja Ampat and Misool in January, northern Raja Ampat in late March, Alor in May, Komodo from late June through early September, Banda in October and Raja Ampat and Misool again in November. Departure ports follow the region: Labuan Bajo for Komodo, Mali or Kalabahi for Alor, Ambon for Banda, Sorong for Raja Ampat and Misool.
Furuno radar, Navtex and GPS, an Icom AIS set, a Garmin echo sounder, anemometer, VHF and SSB radio, and a satellite phone. On the safety side, two inflatable life rafts rated for fifty people between them, forty life jackets, six life rings, a hydrant, fire extinguishers, a first aid kit and emergency oxygen. Two 80 hp dinghies handle the dive drops.
