Komodo
Komodo is the mid-year programme out of Labuan Bajo, and the only region the operator will sell for as little as three nights. Scheduled 2026 departures run three and five nights through August and September. Expect the standard sequence handled at a boat this size rather than a day-boat pace: the Padar Island viewpoint hike, Pink Beach, the Rinca ranger trek, the manta cleaning stations and Kalong at dusk for the flying foxes, with dive sites worked around whoever on board is certified.
Raja Ampat
Raja Ampat is the wet-season half of the year, running out of Sorong from November onwards on six, seven and nine-night voyages. The north and central route takes in Kabui Bay, the Passage, Kawe, Wayag, Wofoh, Fam and Kri, which covers the karst scenery and the Dampier Strait dive sites in one run. Nine nights is what it takes to reach Wayag without cutting the diving short.
Banda Sea
The Spice Islands voyages sail in October, seven nights, occasionally extended to nine by continuing into Raja Ampat. This is the historic Banda run: nutmeg islands, deep walls, volcanic slopes and the hammerhead aggregations that draw divers to Nils Desperandum and Terbang. Long open-water passages between anchorages, so it suits guests who are happy with sea days.
Alor
Alor and the neighbouring islands of Solor, Pantar and Lembata are sold on request rather than on the published calendar. Strong currents through the narrow straits make for drift diving and hammerhead and thresher encounters, and the land side is the draw as much as the water: expeditions inland to Abui villages known for their weaving. Ask early, because these voyages are scheduled around the main seasons.
Who This Suits
Suits: travellers who want good diving without a dive-boat timetable. Nitrox, gear, guides and park fees sit inside the fare, but the day is built around kayaking, trekking, birdwatching and island time as much as tank changes. Couples do particularly well: two owner suites with private terraces mean a pair of couples can travel together without one taking the lesser room.
Also works for: families. The Asmat bow cabin adds a convertible sofa bed for a child, and the upper lounge turns into an open-air cinema after dark.
Less suited to: divers chasing volume. This is not a four-dives-a-day expedition platform, and there is no published guide-to-diver ratio or compressor specification. Anyone wanting a dedicated dive operation is better served by a boat sold as one.

About This Vessel
Aliikai is a 40-metre phinisi whose keel was laid at Bulukumba in South Sulawesi in 2005 and whose hull was completed in 2007, then stripped back and rebuilt across 2019 and 2020 by more than a dozen carpenters working in the same tradition. Seven cabins over three decks, fifteen guests, twelve crew and an expedition leader. That is close to a one-to-one ratio, and it shows in how she is run: an expedition yacht where diving is one way to spend a day rather than the whole schedule.
Two of the seven cabins are owner suites, which is unusual at this size. Fam sits on the main deck and Kei on the upper deck, each with a king bed and its own private terrace, so a second couple is not taking the lesser room. Koon and Savu are ocean-view cabins with windows on the upper deck, Koon at the end of the hallway where nobody walks past. Dayak and Abui are queen cabins with portholes below, and Asmat in the bow adds a sofa that converts to a single bed for a child. Every cabin has an en-suite, wardrobe and its own air conditioning, and the kings and queens split into twins on request.
The dive centre sits on the main deck with room to set up gear, a warm shower for after night dives and a ventilated camera room. Nitrox is carried for certified divers and included in the fare, as are national park fees and the scheduled land excursions. Two tenders, six and 5.5 metres, run the drops. Above water there are two tandem kayaks, four stand-up paddleboards, water skis, surfboards and fishing gear, and the upper lounge works as a yoga deck at sunrise and an open-air cinema after dark.
She sells both ways. Private charter is USD 10,500 a night plus 11 per cent tax for up to fifteen guests, three nights minimum in Komodo and seven everywhere else. On scheduled voyages berths go individually: USD 790 per person per night for a porthole cabin, USD 950 with windows, USD 1,090 for an owner suite, all at double occupancy with a 50 per cent single supplement. The 2026 calendar runs Komodo through August and September, the Spice Islands in October, then Raja Ampat north and central from November into the new year.

Aliikai sells both private and shared voyages. The lowest current scheduled trip is a three-night Komodo voyage at USD 2,370 per person plus 11% tax in a porthole cabin. Nightly shared rates are USD 790 for a porthole cabin, USD 950 for an upper-deck window cabin and USD 1,090 for an owner suite, based on double occupancy. A private Komodo charter starts at USD 31,500 plus 11% tax for the three-night minimum; other destinations require at least seven nights.
Included: local airport-to-port transfers, accommodation, full-board meals and snacks, soft drinks, tea and coffee, snorkeling and diving equipment, nitrox for certified divers, dive and snorkeling guides, an expedition leader, national park fees, scheduled land excursions and use of kayaks and paddleboards.
Excluded: flights, pre- and post-cruise hotels and meals, alcohol, travel and diving insurance, dive courses, dive computer and torch, any stated fuel surcharge and crew gratuity. A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due 60 days before departure.
