Wunderpus is a 25-metre Indonesian liveaboard built for small-group Komodo adventures. The operator limits the boat to eight guests across four air-conditioned cabins, with ensuite hot-water bathrooms, two relaxing upper decks and a dedicated focus on uncrowded diving and snorkeling.
The vessel is traditionally built from ironwood and Indonesian teak, measures 25 metres long and 4.8 metres wide, and cruises at 7 to 9 knots. Accommodation comprises two Double Cabins with queen beds and two Double-Twin Cabins with a queen bed and single bunk. All cabins have AC and fan, ensuite bathrooms with hot water, hairdryers and storage.
The chef prepares four meals per day, combining European and American breakfast with Indonesian, Asian and European dishes for lunch and dinner. Meals are served on the main deck when weather allows, with an indoor air-conditioned salon as backup. Two upper decks provide shaded and open sunbeds.
Wunderpus averages three dives per day for diving guests and keeps groups to a maximum of four divers per guide. The operator provides diving or snorkeling, equipment, reef-safe soap, towels, a hairdryer and a 3 mm wetsuit. Itineraries adapt to tides, weather, visibility, season and crowd levels.
Open dates can be booked for trips of 3 to 10 days as shared/open trips or private charters. Private charters have a minimum of 3 days and 2 nights. All trips start and return to Labuan Bajo; check-in is the day before and departure is scheduled for 8 am.
The operator's public 2026 rate page currently displays a US$0 placeholder and says 2027 pricing is available by direct enquiry. Request a written per-person-per-day or private-charter quote. Komodo park fees, local tourism tax, beer, wine, soft drinks and gratuities are excluded.
Published safety equipment includes a life raft, life jackets, marine radio, satellite phone, GPS, fire extinguishers and emergency oxygen. At least two crew members have EFR emergency training. Dive and travel insurance are strongly advised for the remote operating area.
The operator requires a 40 percent non-refundable deposit. If the guest cancels before the balance is paid or 14 days before departure, the deposit is forfeited; cancellation within 14 days forfeits the full trip cost. Force-majeure terms and operator cancellation terms are separate.
