Approximately 10–11 dives across central and northern highlights, plus a Komodo dragon land excursion when conditions allow.
Five- and six-day programs schedule approximately 12–15 dives across northern, central and selected southern sites, with optional night dives.
A longer program with up to about 20 dives, allowing broader seasonal coverage and additional island or viewpoint activities.
Best for certified divers and mixed groups seeking a modern small-capacity Komodo phinisi, ensuite cabins and guide groups capped at four divers.
Blue Lotus is a 34-metre traditional Indonesian phinisi and the flagship of Lotus Liveaboards, part of the Azul Komodo family. Purpose-built for dive travel in Komodo National Park, it carries a maximum of 12 guests in five ensuite, individually air-conditioned cabins.
Blue Lotus has a published gross tonnage of GT 98 and launched its inaugural Komodo season in 2025. The vessel combines Indonesian phinisi craftsmanship with a modern dive deck, indoor and outdoor dining, an observation deck, lounges and a dedicated sun deck.
The small-group setup uses a maximum diver-to-guide ratio of four to one. Experienced Komodo instructors plan dives around currents, conditions and guest experience rather than promising a fixed site sequence.
The upper-deck Master Balcony Cabin has a double bed, private balcony and easy access to the lounge. On the lower deck, two Twin Cabins each have two single beds. Two Family Triple Cabins each combine one double and one single bed. Together, the five cabins accommodate 12 guests.
Every cabin has an ensuite washroom and individually controlled air conditioning. The operator does not currently publish a clear hot-water specification, so guests who require hot showers should confirm this before booking.
The main deck includes an indoor restaurant, outdoor dining, an outdoor lounge, kitchen, washroom, dive-preparation area and outdoor shower. A TV, games and books, charging station, plug adapters and 24-hour lighting are also listed. The upper and top decks add a lounge, observation areas and sun deck.
Meals combine Indonesian and Western dishes, and vegetarian, vegan and allergy-sensitive diets can be arranged in advance. Starlink Wi-Fi is available for a fee and may still be affected by coverage in remote parts of the park. Laundry service is not available.
Blue Lotus provides guided dives, 12-litre aluminium tanks and weights in the standard package. Rental equipment, limited 15-litre tanks, private guides and 28–32% Nitrox are available at extra cost and should be reserved ahead of time. Optional night dives are included in longer programs.
Published safety equipment includes marine radio communications, heat and smoke detectors, cabin escape hatches, emergency oxygen, professional first-aid kits, maritime-certified life rafts, life jackets, life rings and support dinghies. Dive insurance covering evacuation and treatment is mandatory.
Programs range from four days and three nights to longer week-long voyages. The 4D3N Komodo Escape schedules approximately 10–11 dives, the 5D4N Komodo Highlights 12–14 dives, the 6D5N Komodo Essentials around 15 dives and the 7D6N Komodo Explorer up to about 20 dives.
Depending on trip length and conditions, published sites can include Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Mawan, Manta Point, the Cauldron, Siaba Besar, Tatawa Besar, Tatawa Kecil and northern or southern Komodo sites. Land activities can include Rinca or Komodo dragon trekking, Pink Beach and viewpoint hikes. Sites and wildlife encounters are never guaranteed.
The operator lists cabin accommodation, meals, snacks, soft drinks, guided dives and embarkation-day and disembarkation-day airport or hotel transfers as included. Trekking, beaches and sunset activities form part of relevant itineraries.
Park and harbour fees, Nitrox, rental equipment, alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi and crew tips are charged separately. Solo travellers requesting a private cabin may pay a single supplement.
Blue Lotus suits certified divers seeking a modern, small-capacity Komodo vessel with ensuite cabins, a maximum four-to-one guide ratio and itineraries that can cover northern, central and southern areas. Non-divers are also welcome and can snorkel, join land excursions or relax onboard.
Ask for the current departure schedule and itemised quotation because prices, availability, surcharges and park fees can change. Confirm the cabin assignment, dive prerequisites, Nitrox or rental needs, insurance, no-fly timing, transfer arrangements, cancellation terms and final route in writing before payment.
One upper-deck private cabin for two guests with a double bed, private balcony, ensuite washroom and individually controlled air conditioning.
Two lower-deck cabins for two guests each, with two single beds, private ensuite washroom and individually controlled air conditioning.
