Three- to five-day programs explore central and northern Komodo dive sites such as Sebayur, Siaba, Batu Bolong, Mawan, Taka Makassar, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and the Cauldron, alongside dragon trekking and sunset stops. Routing depends on weather, currents and park operations.
Best suited to divers, snorkellers, solo travellers and small groups seeking a practical, budget-conscious Komodo liveaboard. Cabin cooling details conflict across published sources and should be reconfirmed before booking.
Sokaraja is a compact 25-metre Indonesian phinisi operating dive-led liveaboard trips from Labuan Bajo through Komodo National Park. Built in 2013 and maintained through ongoing improvements, the vessel carries a maximum of 10 guests in three cabins, creating a small-group setting for divers and snorkellers.
Accommodation consists of two private double-bed cabins for two guests each and one shared dormitory with six single bunk beds. Guests share two Western-style toilets and three freshwater showers. Published sources disagree on cabin cooling: one current listing describes air-conditioning and wall fans, while another specification lists fan cooling. The cooling arrangement should therefore be confirmed for the selected departure.
The open-air dining and lounge area serves freshly prepared Indonesian meals buffet-style, while the upper sun deck provides space for surface intervals, sunsets and stargazing. The shaded dive deck includes rinse facilities and access to a tender for dive-site transfers.
Programs generally run for 3 to 5 days around central and northern Komodo, combining 2–4 dives per day with Komodo dragon trekking, viewpoints and flying-fox sunsets. Common dive areas include Sebayur, Siaba, Batu Bolong, Mawan, Taka Makassar, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and the Cauldron, subject to currents, weather and park operations.
Published package inclusions commonly cover onboard accommodation, meals and snacks, drinking water, tea and coffee, towels, toiletries, tanks and weights, snorkeling equipment and land excursions. Park fees, travel and dive insurance, gratuities, alcoholic drinks and optional equipment or services are normally extra. Always confirm the final departure, inclusions and cabin cooling directly with the operator before booking.
